The Film

Four minutes inside a circular future

The Challenge

A breakthrough no one could see

HybridWorks built something the textile world had chased for decades. A way to take blended fabric — the cotton-poly in almost everything you wear — and pull it back apart. Cotton recovered whole, fiber intact. Polyester broken down to clean, near-virgin building blocks. No shredding. No waste.

The problem wasn't the science. It was the story.

A breakthrough that lives inside a reactor is invisible. Investors, manufacturers, and brands can't back what they can't picture. HybridWorks needed a film that could carry a dense, technical process into a three-minute room and still make people feel something. It had to hold up in an investor meeting. It had to work on a silent loop at a trade show. And it had to look as forward-thinking as the technology behind it.

“No shredding.
No waste.”

The Approach

One day on the plant floor. No second takes.

We had a single day inside the Xenia pilot plant. In a working chemical facility, that means PPE, live equipment, and no chance to come back tomorrow. So we over-prepared — a locked shot list, interview questions sent ahead, a schedule built hour by hour.

We shot it like a documentary, because that is what earns trust. Two cameras on every interview, from the founder to the intern on the floor. The reactor mid-run. Macro shots of recovered cotton, soft and whole in the hand. The drone up over the building to set the scene.

Then we built the rest in the edit. Motion graphics to make the circular process legible. An earth-toned grade pulled straight from HybridWorks' own brand. Bold on-screen text, so the film lands even with the sound all the way down.

The Outcome

A story their technology finally had a face for

HybridWorks walked away with a flagship film built to do real work — in front of investors, on the trade-show floor, and across every screen their audience lives on.

  • A 2–3 minute brand film for investor meetings and the website
  • A 30–60 second cut made for social
  • Versions framed for every screen — widescreen, square, and vertical
  • A film that plays with or without sound, ready for the trade-show floor

“As long as the lion doesn't tell his own version, the story of the hunter will always glorify the hunter.”

A proverb we work by — HybridWorks had a story worth telling in their own voice

Have a story that's hard to explain?

That's the work we love most — taking something technical, invisible, or genuinely new, and turning it into a film people feel. If that sounds like your company, let's talk.
